Pro tip for busy parents who work, take care of children, pay the bills, do the house chores, support aging parents and other family members, etc. etc. etc…
In order to avoid turning into a sobbing hot mess standing in the kitchen with a jar of peanut butter and a spoon: simplify the heck out of your life and give thanks for the smallest victories you achieve throughout your day. Got a moment to take a few deep cleansing breaths? Good work! Found time to talk to your children about something other than just homework or schedules? Fantastic job!
In reality the “perfect day” is any day where I can go to bed being thankful for someone or something that happened – which is pretty much every day. Thank you, Universe, for everything you do for me!
