My family and I absolutely love this recipe! It is easy to make, and always turns out hearty and delicious with whipped cream. My mom likes this copycat Bruxie’s waffle recipe better because it’s yeast based and is more light and delicate than my recipe.
Like Crispy Waffles? Say Cheese!
A pro tip if you’re looking for a more savory, crispier waffle: throw some shredded cheddar cheese on the waffle maker before you cook. We’ve tried mozzarella cheese but it doesn’t get quite as crispy.
Even though the cheese makes it more savory, it is still delicious with whipped cream or syrup. But my brother Pnut and I just like it as is!
I hope your family enjoys this recipe as much as I did. Happy cooking!
